Music
In the words of Neil Diamond: "Making music is my life, the one constant I can't live without. It's more than a desire or yearning; it's a necessity."
Live Performances
I love, love, LOVE performing live and among my favourite venues are The Voodoo Rooms, Whistle Binkies, and Prestonfield House in Edinburgh. I have performed around the UK and Germany, so am happy to be on stage wherever.

Musical Journey
I am Scottish, living in Scotland. And I sing for my supper. I have used music as my form of expression since I was 13 and for me it is essential for communication, whether it is blues, rock, pop, soul, R&B, gospel, reggae and folk music I am working with. I am primarily a live performer but am game for any musical venture.
I started performing publicly in primary school when the teacher had our class audition for the choir and I was found to have a voice. I went on to perform Robert Burns in high-school as a soloist/with a classmate. I uploaded my cover of my heroine Joni Mitchell's Big Yellow Taxi to YouTube and even got a mention on Joni's website for it.
I was fortunate enough to meet local musicians who encouraged me to join the weekly jams at a local pub. It was here that I got the chance to work with some amazing musicians who encouraged me to keep singing. From that I went on to performing alongside Richard Dunn as an acoustic duo and, on occasion, even as an acoustic three piece called The Bus Stop Band.

During this time I had my first visit to a recording studio, which was to record Amazing Grace for Tara Golden's film Peace Walker, a wonderful tale of two people travelling the length of the British Isles in search for peace and the people they meet along the way.
In my first week in college in 2009 I was asked to front Doc Rodent, my first proper blues band. We recorded some of our favourite tracks, and so I was once more in the studio.
During the following time in college I recorded a couple of my own songs, as well as performing with Doc Rodent and our college band Curious Earl throughout Edinburgh and in the Scottish Borders.
On graduating in 2011 I went full circle and rediscovered my folk roots, by performing at The Taste of Scotland Show, in Prestonfield House, Edinburgh up to six nights a week during the season. This resulted in my debut album, The Gathering, a collection of some of my favourite folk songs available from iTunes, Amazon and also as a signed physical CD direct from me. In January I was also singing Burns songs for Burns Suppers throughout Scotland.
During the following years I spent as much time as possible on stage performing live- blues, folk, soul, popular music, and even a little jazz. I was fortunate enough to work with a number of insanely talented local musicians and even took the stage with Gregg Wright, King of the Blues (and Michael Jackson's guitarist). I had a few more studio sessions, among them for She Wynds On from Calum Wood's amazing Snow Roads, 2018.
2025 is the year of the release of a new album of favourite songs of mine.
The future is still unwritten, but it will always contain music.
